Supervision in Brighton and Hove
My approach to supervision is to offer you a safe and confidential space to discuss and explore your client's needs, as well as how this impacts on you professionally and personally. I sees supervision as offering you an emotionally restorative space to explore the dilemmas and rewards of therapeutic work. I aim to work in a collaborative way, whilst having regard for the normative and educational factors that are part of therapeutic work and supervisory relationships. I firmly believe that supervision should be a place for you to relax and enjoy the nature of the work that we do with clients, and the development that can bring.
I currently supervise qualified and trainee counsellors at my private practice in Hanover and at the Rock Clinics in Kemptown and Hove. I offer reduced rates to trainee counsellors on a sliding scale of £35-£45 per session, and £45-£65 for qualified counsellors, depending on income and ability to pay.
I am guided by the BACP code of ethics and it will be important for us to look at where that code, or similar professional codes, helps us work together and safely inform your work with clients.
Please contact me if you would like to discuss the possibility of working together and we can arrange a half hour session costing £15, at which you can ask me further questions about my training, experience and way of working.
